About Me
My name is Katelyn Henderson. I'm an undergrad at USF (for a few more months at least). I'm pursuing dual degrees in Health Sciences and Psychology with hopes of going into the field of Public Health. My family has been affected by cancer and heart disease in recents months, so I would like to do research and find new techniques for prevention. I am very excited to work with the diseases that have caused my family such heartbreak as it will be difficult yet rewarding. |
I'm a dispatcher for SAFE Team at USF. We spend our time taking pictures on top of parking garages, listening to music, hanging out with other teams, and sometimes doing our actual job (only sometimes though). SAFE Team is a safety service for USF students and faculty that operates throughout the night until 2 am. When we are doing our job, we typically patrol parking lots on campus in between driving or walking our escorts to their destinations on USF's Tampa campus. I love coming to work and even spending time with my coworkers outside of work. SAFE Team is one huge, extremely dysfunctional family and having this job has been incredible.
I have two older brothers, a two year old niece, and a really cute doggo. We were born and raised in Sebastian, FL which is an hour south of Cape Canaveral. We've all played soccer our entire lives so my niece will obviously be a super star when she's older. I love traveling, going to the beach, and listening to music. Sebastian is a small beach town so I fell in love with the beach at a very young age.
